purpose is not to revalidate.(just let them purge if cache is full)
some servers use as very old date to force content to expire.
server reply has no etag.
their servers has never been replied with 304(revalidation will never be
happen even http 1.0).
sometims when you ask for IMS you will be redirected to other servers.
the last resort would be cache it and never revalidate(now its up to you how
long you'd want them to stay in cache).
but with ignore-reload percentage will no longer be required.(correct me if
im wrong).

Subject: i was wondering about the refresh_pattern Age
percentage more then 100%
i have seen refresh_pattern with Age percentage more then 100% and my
question was:
does that percentage does an extending to the expiration time?
or squid has maximum of 100% limit?
i have seen people writing unreasonable and ridiculously patterns for
cache like:
refresh_pattern -i (get_video\?|videoplayback\?|videodownload\?) 5259487
999% 5259487 override-expire ignore-reload reload-into-ims ignore-no-cache
ignore-private
it means "save the file for 3652(days) = 5259487(minutes)/60/24" am i
right?
no harming anyone but it seems kind of weird.
i understand that there are situations that this is needed.
Thanks Eliezer
