I encounter the same problem. HTTP caching seems to be working (as I sometimes get TCP_HIT, but not on all websites) but caching for downloaded files doesn't work at all. For example, on my client PC : wget http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.5.15/win32/fr/Firefox%20Setup%203.5.15.exe Generate those /var/log/squid3/acces.log entries : 1289856068.702 12991 192.168.1.2 TCP_MISS/200 8175325 GET http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.5.15/win32/fr/Firefox%20Setup%203.5.15.exe - DIRECT/155.98.64.83 application/x-msdos-program 1289856126.234 12087 192.168.1.2 TCP_MISS/200 8175325 GET http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.5.15/win32/fr/Firefox%20Setup%203.5.15.exe - DIRECT/155.98.64.83 application/x-msdos-program Thanks for help, Romain -- View this message in context: http://squid-web-proxy-cache.1019090.n4.nabble.com/Squid-don-t-cache-anything-tp3026898p3043847.html Sent from the Squid - Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
