Hi,

I am using Squid3S25 on Suse SLES 10, 64 bit, squid_radius_auth-1.10.

When I try squid_radius_auth with a user bob with password secret with the command

squid_radius_auth -h x.x.x.x -w shared_secret1
I can see that the password "secret" of a user seems to be garbage:
[files] users: Matched entry bob at line 51
++[files] returns ok
++[expiration] returns noop
++[logintime] returns noop
++[pap] returns updated
Found Auth-Type = PAP
+- entering group PAP {...}
[pap] login attempt with password "?{bDl8?+EbIY"

This only happens with my Squid 64 Bit system. If testing this on a 32 bit system, it works.

Are there known issues with squid_radius_auth and 64 bit?

Quite possibly. The RADIUS helper for Squid was written to an old spec before the days of 64-bit. It needs a fair bit of loving added to bring it up to modern RADIUS RFC standards and more efficient capabilities.
