Hi,
You could find what you need with external_acl_type.
Start a SSL-enabled Apache in your Squid Box.
Configure an external_acl_type for user authentication.
Request user&password in a HTTPS form. Develop a simple CGI
to feed the DB used by external_acl_type with valid-users.

Other Options could be HTTP Digest/NTLM Authentication.

Asunto: secure connection client --> squid

Hello,

I use Squid 3 (squid-3.0-14.2mdv2009.1) with authentication on a
Mandriva 2009. I need to secure the connection between the client (IE,
Firefox...) and the Squid. By default the password it's base64 encoded
but in blanc text. I need with encryption.

Anyone can help? or send any manuals/tutorials?

Thks,
          Eduardo
