That URL is by definition anonymous FTP.

To access non-anonymous FTP you need to use

 ftp://user:password@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/

With some browsers you can leave out the :password part and Squid will
prompt the browser for login credentials, but some of the main browsers
do not support this.
