Squid HTTP 1.1 & Keep alive as reverse proxy

Hello,

I am using Squid 3.0 as a reverse proxy to Apache 1.3.

What I found out that is client => squid is using keep alive (from
live http header, Connection: keep alive)

but squid => apache is only using HTTP 1.0 (from apache access log)


Is this normal?
