This is a known and now fixed bug http://www.squid-cache.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=2648.
The fix is on its way down to 3.0 now. Amos -- Please be using Current Stable Squid 2.7.STABLE6 or 3.0.STABLE18 Current Beta Squid 3.1.0.13
