Oh yes, want to check with u. has anyone successfully used squid with ecap
and 3.1 features as a true WAN accelerator before? Having the setup below 

browser  --> reverse -----> high latency (VSAT) -------> reverse -----> non
http 1.1 Web Server
                  proxy             Network                             
proxy

My objective is to combine the small/short requests into bigger request
betweeb proxies (plus compression) and reduce the number of trips through
the vsat line.
