Okay, looking at it much closer its a measure of the number of records in the client_db cache. Clients for which network speed information, and requests counts are maintained. It's the union sum[1] of these: clients with HTTP requests within last 5 minutes. clients with >10 HTTP or >10 ICP requests within last 4 hours. clients with >100 HTTP-only requests in last 24 hours. Amos [1] by 'union sum' I mean clients are only counted once if matching multiple criteria. > > Regards.. > > --- On Tue, 28/4/09, Amos Jeffries <squid3@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > >> From: Amos Jeffries <squid3@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> >> Subject: Re: number of clients >> To: "Tech W." <techwww@xxxxxxxxxxxx> >> Cc: squid-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx >> Received: Tuesday, 28 April, 2009, 8:07 AM >> > >> > Hello, >> > >> > I'm using squid3.0-stable13, on a linux box with the >> kernel 2.6.24. >> > I found the value for this stat argument below is not >> correct most time. >> > (got it with squidclient mgr:info). >> > >> > >> > Number of clients accessing cache: >> 212 >> > >> > >> > for example, now its value is 212, but after some time >> it maybe become >> > 202, not increase but decrease.
