Wow this is frustrating! Sorry, but I need help again. I had everything working on our testbed Windows 2003 platform (for reverse proxy accelerator services), and so when I go and deploy Squid in the same fashion on the live proxy server, I get the following when trying to start the SQUID service: "Could not start the Squid service on local computer. Error 1067: the process terminated unexpectedly." I actually received this error when trying to start it on the test server as well, but was able to resolve it by upgrading the server to SP2. The live server already has SP2 installed but I installed all outstanding patches on it anyway, just in case - no deal. On both machines I ran the squid -z command to establish the log directory first. I'm really floored by why this is happening though and would GREATLY appreciate anybody's help.
