Any feeds on this regard... it would be fine to know whether this will be possible or not. If possible, can someone shed a light on it....

I'm wanting to look at this long-term, but short-term its pretty hard. There is a lot of re-working of various systems to get it done.

It's easy to add an entry to cache.log easily enough if you build your own Squid. With the big trouble of linking the access.log and cache.log entries since they are not timed in sync.

Otherwise the chances are slim that it will be done within the year.

Thanks in Advance...

Dear Techies,

In my proxy server, i have different types of rules in
place for different kind of user groups. all of the custom
denial is provided with custom ERR pages and the default ERR
pages are also there to serve for other default service
deinal situation, like cache restart, dns error etc.

Now i would like to know with which error messages, the
user is denied the access. say, example;

on Monday;
376 ERR_PROXY_SERVER error page is served
273 ERR_DOWNLOAD_RESTRICTION error page is served
145 ERR_SPORTS_SITES error page is served
17 ERR_MAIL_SITES error page is served
15 ERR_ACCESS_DENIED error page is served

(it would be better we can know the username and IP along
with this info)
etc...

so that i can have a good understanding of my users usage,
and which are the rules which is mostly blocking the
requests...

Any idea about this???
