Hi Ross, I need your advice with regards to squidGuard and AD groups. I have a setup wherein we have a squid proxy server authenticating users from windows 2003 active directory. I also use squidGuard for content filtering, I would like to have squidGuard allowing access to different websites on the basis of group membership. How can this be achieved. Thanks in advance. Hi all, More of a question for advice and peoples knowledge of other squid related applications. I'm looking for an app, similar to Squidguard to use for the following. LDAP or MYSQL per user authentication. Apply URL blacklists to each user dynamically. Apply Whitelists and Blacklists to each user aswell. I've been messing about with Squidguard, and it can do all the above, however, when it comes to applying whitelists and blacklists to each user, it seems a very manual process of changing the configuration file. I'm looking for something a lot more dynamically driven, by either ldap or mysql. So basically, the squidguard like product configuration doesn't really change, just the database backend which we can insert into and apply to each user. Hope that makes sense. Does anyone know of an application that can do this ? Or has anyone done this ?
