I am using the Websense plugin with 2.6.STABLE18 on Ubuntu with no issues.

If you have difficulties and can't get answers on the mailing list, http://www.siriusit.co.uk/ will be able to help. I contracted them to install and train me on Squid and the installation of Websense and they were excellent.
