I've set:

quick_abort_min -1 KB

I see no great risk in using this on the servers in question, unless a 
customer set out to sabotage our service, and they probably have worse ways 
to do that.

Certianly I'd far rather Google was abusing just the reverse proxy than both 
proxy and server.
