It's my only instance of squid - it's running on my main Linux gateway. It occasionally occurs during the day - on July 6, for instance, it gave this error message 340 times, all through the day. But on the 7th, I got 40 of them, stopping at 6:19 AM. The 8th, 17, stopping at 5:13. The 9th, 10th, 11th - 23 total, none during the normal working day. Then yesterday - 140, all through the day. It's almost like it tosses the error only when there's nobody here accessing the Net - as if there's no traffic, so the response time goes huge. Weekends, early mornings, and evenings, they show up.
