Using fakeauth_auth for NTLM auth

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I used to have the following config in squid.conf:

auth_param ntlm program /usr/local/squid/ntlm/libexec/fakeauth_auth / usr/local/squid/ntlm/etc/passwd

This would allow me to enter any creds and "authenticate" with the squid proxy.

Using 3.0.HEAD, I see the following when a client attempts to auth:

2008/07/11 14:41:06| helperStatefulHandleRead: unexpected read from ntlmauthenticator #1, 84 bytes 'TT TlRMTVNTUAACAAAACgAKADAAAAAGggEATp16pM0 +8Q0AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA6AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA==
'
2008/07/11 14:41:06| StatefulHandleRead: no callback data registered
2008/07/11 14:41:06| authenticateNTLMHandleReply: Helper '0x567010' crashed!. 2008/07/11 14:41:06| authenticateNTLMHandleReply: Error validating user via NTLM. Error returned 'BH Internal error'
2008/07/11 14:41:06| WARNING: ntlmauthenticator #1 (FD 5) exited

Any idea how I can setup a "bogus" NTLM authenticator? I only want to test NTLM auth between the client and squid proxy. I don't care that it goes to a real Windows domain and auths.

Thanks for any suggestions/help.
