The Squid HTTP Proxy team is pleased to announce the
availability of the Squid-3.0.STABLE7 release!

This release adds many documentation updates, and several bugs found in the previous release.

One of these bugs was a regression issue from 2.6 which allowed Remote Denial of Service attacks via SNMP. Sincerest apologies from the Squid Developers for letting this one slip past us. Squid Security Advisory 2008:1 has been released with further details and can be found at:

  http://www.squid-cache.org/Advisories/SQUID-2008_1.txt

All users of Squid 3.0 or 3-HEAD development releases, using SNMP are advised to upgrade immediately. Users not using SNMP are advised to check their squid for vunerability and upgrade at the earliest opportunity.
