Is this patch the same as is mentioned on http://wiki.squid-cache.org/Features/TproxyUpdate with note that "It is not yet finished, the squid proxy doesn't bind to the client's address. Furthermore I think it would be better to have a different option for this, and "tproxy" wouldn't imply this. " ? ie not finished ?

It's the patch linked from that wiki entry, yes.

Some lessons were learned from the Squid-3 integration. It should not be hard to back-port them if needed straight from the 3-HEAD changesets.

At worst Laszlo and Adrian are at the other end of an email.
