Depends on the cache_dir type. For aufs/ufs/diskd it is.


Okay, so not for coss type then?  Thanks, that's good to know.

So in the coss case, what happens if "squid -z" is run again between shutdown and the next startup? Is it fatal, or do you just lose the previous cache content?
