Shall I use it on http1.1 proxy?

It makes squid advertise itself as HTTP/1.1, which may work but is not entirely correct according to the RFC.

If you are lucky the actual 1.1 support already in squid can handle the messages it receives from 1.1 servers.

If you are unlucky a server may try something squid is not capable of. With currently unknown side-effects.
