i have squid 2.6 stable 5 installed and configured on debian with: --ssl-enabled --enable-auth="ntlm,basic,digest,negotiate" in a transparent proxy mode. it works fine internally (intranet) and externally, except for one thing externally: when i try to access a password protected web page on the server (internal), i get an http 401 error. i don't want squid to authorize anybody, i just want the webserver to do that. why does squid block this?
