hi Bahadhur, Thanks for the immediate response. My problem is i need to precached all the blocks of my application into the squid proxy. So that when the user access our application it will be served by the proxy and not by our server to reduce the traffic.. What happens when i precache the blocks the \var\cache folder size exceeds the default limit sooner. So i need to increase this size to 500Mb where i can store more applications. cache_dir ufs /cache 500 8 64 will this solve that purpose Thanks again --Ganesh.b ________________________________ From: Tek Bahadur Limbu [mailto:teklimbu@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Fri 5/18/2007 5:35 AM To: Ganesh Balasubramanian Cc: squid-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: Squid Cache log -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 On Fri, 18 May 2007 02:31:55 -0700 "Ganesh Balasubramanian" <GaneshB@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > Hi All, > I need to configure my cache size to 500 MB, by default the ipcache_size value shows 1024. Is that meant 1MB or 1024MB, Also is this the right parameter to change the cache size > Hi Ganesh, I am not exactly sure if you mean the size of your cache directories. If that is so, you can set it using cache_dir ufs /cache 500 8 64 where 500=500MB 8=1st Level directories 64=2nd Level directories As far as I know, ipcache_size is used for the storing the number of IP entries. Your subject "Squid Cache log" also seems a little unclear to the question you are asking. Thanking you... > I'm new to this, kindly help me out > > --Ganesh.b > - -- With best regards and good wishes, Yours sincerely, Tek Bahadur Limbu (TAG/TDG Group) Jwl Systems Department Worldlink Communications Pvt.
