Well, a 400 error is "Bad Request" (http://wiki.squid-cache.org/SquidFaq/SquidLogs#head-e0d4421694c8f3dbfbabeb029330bd478ae849b3), so I would have to guess that this applet is not speaking HTTP. But that is just a guess. Without knowing how your log format is set up, I have no idea what else that entry indicates.
