Seems to work fine with Squid-2.6 64-bits.

Building a 32-bit binary to test... Seems fine there as well.

So try upgrading to 2.6 to see if that helps. Current version is
2.6.STABLE12. If it still fails please provide the following

1. Ouput of "squid -v"

2. The HTTP headers of the response. Can be seen by running
  squidclient 'http://h30317.www3.hp.com/downloads/RDP350.iso?ordernumber=361694666&itemid=1&downloadid=32163034&merchantId=SW_DEPOT' | head -15

You can also try building your Squid with support for large cache files
(configure flag). Might help, even if it shouldn't really make a
difference..
