Dears,

I have an squid proxy server in an FreeBSD 6.2-STABLE with tuning of kernel for best squid performance. Recently, i detect anormals situations in my daemon(squid), then looking the logs, i have this message below.

In other log, i have:

pid 44470 (squid), uid 100: exited on signal 6 (core dumped)

[about signal 6]
#define SIGABRT         6       /* abort() */

The SIGABRT signal provides a way to abort a process and create a core dump. If this is caught and the signal handler does not return, however, the program will not terminate. The default action is to terminate the process and create a core dump.

Analyzing the core dump file:

srv-aol-04# gdb /usr/local/sbin/squid /usr/local/squid/cache/squid.core

I made same attempts, as:

- recompile my squid;
- recompile my kernel (note: i use this kernel config in several squid servers);
- clean my cache and re-make.
