If you haven't assigned any specific permissions to allow this then you
can be pretty sure it's not working. There should also be ntlm_auth
warnings/errors in cache.log and/or /var/log/messages about problems
opening the privileged pipe.

How to configure permissions:

1. Create a group for the purpose.

2. Make your cache_effective_user a member of this group and don't
specify cache_effective_group in squid.conf.

3. chgrp the Samba winbind privileged directory to this group, and make
sure it's at least group executable.

4. Restart Squid.
