Our DNS resolves fast, about .045 seconds, so I don't think that is the problem, however, I added the line:

 if (!isResolvable(host))
   return "PROXY proxy.example.com:3128";

to our proxy files, and our 25 Second browser lockup changed to a 4 second timeout.

Thank you very much for that tip. My users will be much happier!

I am looking now at "refining" and speeding up the processing of the file.
