I'm already running Squid 2.6 Stable 9 on Windows Server 2003. I already have a DNS search list...here's my "ipconfig /all"... That DNS Suffix Search List came, if I'm not mistaken, from the school district's DNS servers. This server is also serving as the DHCP server for my school, so the IP Address, Default Gateway, DNS Servers, and WINS Servers were all entered by hand. Is there something I'm missing? Do I -_also_ need to put this in the registry somewhere? Pardon my stupidity. :-) Thanks, matt -- Windows IP Configuration Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . : leon-ms10 Primary Dns Suffix . . . . . . . : schools.dist.leon.k12.fl.us Node Type . . . . . . . . . . . . : Hybrid IP Routing Enabled. . . . . . . . : No WINS Proxy Enabled. . . . . . . . : No DNS Suffix Search List. . . . . . : schools.dist.leon.k12.fl.us dist.leon.k12.fl.us leon.k12.fl.us k12.fl.us fl.us Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection 3: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : Description . . . . . . . . . . . : TEAM : team_leon-ms10 Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-13-72-F7-05-0A DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : No IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 10.20.200.10 Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.0.0 Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 10.20.0.1 DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 205.223.144.101 205.223.144.98 Primary WINS Server . . . . . . . : 205.223.147.230 Secondary WINS Server . . . . . . : 205.223.147.30 -- Just upgrade to Squid 2.6: the DNS search list is already present, the machine search list defined in resolv.conf or registry for Windows machine is automatically loaded at Squid startup.
