Following are the ONLY changes I've made in squid.conf file to run it
in server accelerator mode:
http_port 80
httpd_accel_host 10.1.4.241 #ip of the origin server
httpd_accel_port 80
httpd_accel_uses_host_header off
httpd_accel_single_host on
httpd_accel_with_proxy off
acl all src 0/0
acl TheOriginServer dst 10.1.4.241
http_access allow TheOriginServer
http_access deny All
refresh_pattern . 0 20% ignore-reload
emulate_httpd_log
