Re: Redirection by backend server

Hi Henrik

Thx.. Finally its working fine. Both servers are behind reverse proxy and
can be accessed with resepective URLs

Now the original issue::

One of the servers behind reverse proxy is a domino server.
1. When user types 'test.webmail.com', reverse proxy gets the
authentication page from the internal domino server (1.1.1.1).
2. User types in User name and password
3. Domino tries to redirect but nothing changes in the user window. It
just takes credentials from user and returns the same authentication page

Without the reverse proxy when same process is completed, the URL changes
in user browser as the domino server redirects it to internal
server(1.1.1.2) where .nsf mailbox is stored.

I tried putting the mailbox (1.1.1.2) server also behind reverse proxy but
nothing changes.

I guess something more to be added to squid.conf

You better configure this on the web server as well if it is using the
Host header..

It is possible to run with different domains internally and externally
some times by using a redirector to rewrite the URL while it is
forwarded, but there is a lot of situations where the internal domain of
the web server will "leak" and cause problems so it can not be
recommended.
