Search squid archive

Choose cache peer based on Content-Length HTTP header

I have two gateways on a LAN both running squid. One link is a fast
high cost link, one is a slow low cost link.

I would like HTTP requests under 1MB (Web Browsing) to go via the
cache at the fast link and requests over 1MB (Bulk downloads) to go
via the cache at the slow link. Is this possible? If not is there a
patch that would do this?

Re implimentation maybe sends a HEAD request via the fast link to
determine the content-length header then proceeds to choose link for
GET request based on that.
Something like that.

Thanks in advance.
