I hope that the problem is here, aio_read() man page says that the function is available starting FreeBSD 3.0 ... :-(

Last I checked, this would cause the build to fail on FreeBSD. Thus
it's unconditionally added in the FreeBSD port when COSS support is
requested.

Please, do you can send a failing build log, if one ?
