yes, now when I run ulimit -a I obtain:

core file size (blocks, -c) 0
data seg size (kbytes, -d) unlimited
   file size (blocks, -f) unlimited
max locked memory (kbytes, -l) 4
max memory size (kbytes, -m) unlimited
   open files (-n) 8192
   pipe size (512 bytes, -p) 8
   stack size (kbytes, -s) 10240
   cpu time (seconds, -t) unlimited
   max user processes (-u) 7168
   virtual memory (kbytes, -v) unlimited

is this ok?

Now I am not using delay pools, I recompiled with out them, but nothing, squid is using only 1024 filedescriptors

what can I do?

Hello Squid friends.

Recently I found in my cache.log this message:
WARNING! Your cache is running out of filedescriptors

I found in the same file that Squid was using 1024 filedescriptors
I looked for that problem in the forum and FAQ and these are my steps to resolve that:
Is squid compiling with poll or select?

Adrian

Adrian is compiled with poll (option --enable-poll in configure)
