I think this is use the /usr/local/squid/cache directory as the cache
directory.and the max size of the squid can use under that directory
is 1024MB,and have 16 layer 1 directory and 256 layer 2 directory.
my English is ugly,so I don't think I can show my meaning use English.

You probably should either asked the person who installed the Squid for
you or read the squid.conf.default to get an idea on how to setup the
size of your cache_dir.

Please read everything you can about cache_dir directive, then tell me
what the example below will do:

cache_dir ufs /usr/local/squid/cache 1024 16 256
