You can't redirect the FTP protocol to it and expect it to work as the two protocols are fundamentally different. You can complement Squid with a FTP proxy like frox to provide both protocols. frox is capable of handling transparently intercepted FTP calls. Note: Squid can handle ftp:// requests from HTTP clients configured to use it as a proxy, but this is all done over HTTP where Squid acts as a HTTP->FTP gateway. This is not the same as having a FTP client connecting via Squid (not possible, see above). Regards Henrik
