All ntlmauthenticator processes are busy

After squid-2.5 to squid-2.6 upgrade I get everyday this
warning messages:

This is the relevant squid.conf section:

auth_param ntlm program /usr/libexec/squid/ntlm_auth domain/pdc
auth_param ntlm children 50
auth_param ntlm keep_alive on

Domain controller is nt4sp6a. I have also checked the
nt event log but nothing relevant at that date/time is
logged.
Hint?

PS: Squid is compiled from sources on Slackware 10.2
