Not really. read_timeout is the limit on how long a connection may be idle while Squid expects there to be some data flowing.. so sending data to slow servers can count into this but not clients sending data over a slow connection to Squid. When sending data to servers it includes the time it takes to drain the TCP window after Squid has submitted the last byte of the request to the TCP for transmission. Regards Henrik
