It simply means you are running Linux.. Linux always return RSS of 0 when queried using getrusage(). I don't know why Linux doesn't implement reading of RSS via getrusage() as it obviously knows the RSS elsewhere, but it doesn't.. You need to use ps or a similar tool to inspect the RSS.
