  That's way too much, and will get you into trouble; please checkout
this parameter in squid.conf.default and read >all< the comments on it.

As far as cache_mem is concerned; use the default (commented), for
starters.

No because, these are SQUID background issues, which happen
all the time, and are very fine-granualar. So you won't see any performance
impact.
