Have you configured your browser to use the proxy?
Yes i do it in firefox 1.0.7 from xp
Also, make sure you are not denying authentication headers in
http_header_access (default is to allow all).
i dont have anything like http_header_access so i think use the default
evan

/usr/local/squid/libexec/ncsa_auth /usr/local/squid/etc/passwd
from the command line (outside squid) and input a valid username and
password pair?
How did you create /usr/local/squid/etc/passwd?
from command line
/usr/local/squid/libexec/ncsa_auth /usr/local/squid/etc/passwd
test somepass
OK
but when i press again enter i have ERR and i have to killed i dont know if
this any problem,
passwd i create with htpasswd
