I am running Squid-2.5STABLE12 on FreeBSD 6.0 (now 6.1-PRERELEASE) since it was released. I am also running the same version on several FreeBSD 5.4 (now 5.5-PRERELEASE). All these for ages. No crashes! All this time, I have tested both diskd and even aufs and I've not had any crashes. I'd like to take the challenge and setup Squid on your box. I am doing this to counter your belief that this is anything to do with FreeBSD. Shall we do this offlist, please? starting on a clean slate - a fresh install - and moving from there? -Wash http://www.netmeister.org/news/learn2quote.html DISCLAIMER: See http://www.wananchi.com/bms/terms.php -- +======================================================================+ |\ _,,,---,,_ | Odhiambo Washington <wash@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Zzz /,`.-'`' -. ;-;;,_ | Wananchi Online Ltd. www.wananchi.com |,4- ) )-,_. ,\ ( `'-'| Tel: +254 20 313985-9 +254 20 313922 '---''(_/--' `-'\_) | GSM: +254 722 743223 +254 733 744121 +======================================================================+ There's an old proverb that says just about whatever you want it to.
