Using Squid To Intercept Webmail Attachments

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I have Squid running in transparent mode on our Linux-based firewall:

# squid -v
Squid Cache: Version 2.5.STABLE9
configure options: --enable-storeio=diskd,ufs
--enable-linux-netfilter --enable-removal-policies=heap,lru
--enable-delay-pools

Is there a way to have Squid snag all email attachments downloaded
from various webmail services and save it to disk for a virus scan, or
better yet, scan it automatically and only forward it on to the client
if it's clean?

I have adzap running already and don't want to interfere with it. The
redirect code is toward the end of squid.conf:
 redirect_program /usr/local/adzap/scripts/wrapzap
Is there a simple redirector out there that I can stick in there after
adzap has done its job, pull out email attachments, and do stuff with
them before forwarding them on to the client?

Thanks.
