192.168.1.88 is a private IP address. How is this interface connected to
the internet? NAT on a DSL router? Forwarding to another proxy?

Just let the users use the proxy for internet access. Whether or not you
allow direct proxy thus bypassing your Squid is a matter of your
rules on the company firewall.
