Search squid archive

Invalid Response error

I am using Squid 2.5Stable10 and users encountered the following error when accessing one of the applications from their PC thru' the said squid proxy:

Invalid Response
The HTTP Response message received from the contacted server could not be understood or was otherwise malformed. Please contact the site operator. Your cache administrator may be able to provide you with more details about the exact nature of the problem if needed.

Your cache administrator is squid.

Pls advise what is the cause of the above error and how can it be resolved??? Can the said problem be resolved from the application server end or squid proxy server end???
