Thanks for the assistance, it was truly appreciated.  I am still curious
if there is a maximum amount of entries for the acl's.

It should not be ....

I think that you have triggered a Squid 3.0 bug or limit.

If possible, please open a bug report on Bugzilla attaching the offending squid.conf and acl definition.
