Hi all, We use trend micro's internet web security suite for virus and content filtering. Squid is setup to forward any request to the IWSS then IWSS makes squid do the final Request, so squid - IWSS - squid. We require to be like this so accounting and error Pages are handled correctly. This all works very nicely but has a side effect of forwarding loop errors in cache.log. 2005/06/14 09:04:10| WARNING: Forwarding loop detected for: GET /images/tri_grey.gif HTTP/1.0 If-Modified-Since: Sun, 02 Mar 2003 14:36:03 GMT Accept: */* Referer: http://www.essendonfc.com.au/main.asp Accept-Language: en-au Cookie: ASPSESSIONIDSCDDABBD=LFMIFCIDKMFFAHALBBMPPLFP User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322) Host: www.essendonfc.com.au Via: 1.0 pthalo.ngv.vic.gov.au:8080 (squid/2.5.STABLE3) X-Forwarded-For: 172.16.7.246 Cache-Control: max-age=259200 Proxy-Connection: keep-alive So the cache log becomes my largest log. I have a feeling that if I want to remove this Side effect I will need to run another instance of squid. Is there another way? Adam
