Dansguardian is very stable but can slow down network traffic depending
on the size of your network. The low down is Dansguardian does
everything squidguard does and more. But if you use squid_NTLM or
something like that would will have problems doing this with dans. I
have read that it is now possible but have yet to try it out as I
haven't bin playing in the test lab lattly.

Subject: [squid-users] OT: SquidGuard vs DansGuardian

All,

My apologize if this message is Off Topic. However, I need some advise
or
review of SquidGuard and DansGuardian comparison.

In my experience, SquidGuard runs very stable in my environment (around
2
years) and "integrated" to Squid, but it seems no more development. I
never
use DanGuardian that claim better than SquidGuard.

Hope you would give me your review of products.

Thx & Rgds,

Awie
