There was, however, an unusually high occurance of 50x status recorded in the access log, in particular, 503 and 504 statuses. Typically, the total number of these codes averages less than 5000 per month. So far this month the total has exceeded 90000 occurrances. Correct.
As this Squid sees the proportion of errors is too high (more than the number of successful requests) it assumes there is something wrong with the Internet connection and switches to hit-only mode indicating to ICP peers that they should avoid using this Squid..
