Hi Marc,

you´re maybe right. But in a enterprise it isn´t prcatible to update all the trillion system, that are depending on ech other, all the time.  rather you try to fix a release for a while.

i´ll provide information about what´s going on next week.  the problem however seems to be relatated to severel kind of login-systems (jsp, https with PUT, ...).

  A proxy, can not be 'transparant' once it received a request.
  Better to discuss what isn't working through squid.

  Remember also that 2.4 is years old ,and from the prev. century...
  Better to use the latest STABLE release.
