Thank you for the reply Abdul. I know that squid authentication is possible. I already configured squid to authenticate users over an LDAP directory. The problem is that squid prompts users for authentication only if they make http requests. However, I would like that squid prompts user to authenticate themselves for ALL their requests (http, https, ftp...). So, I would really be glad if anyone could give me a clue to require user's authentication for all their requests. Thanks a lot. --- AbdulRahman Al-Khuddus <AbdulRahman.Al-Khuddus@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > Fatima, > > It is possible. > If you are new to Squid then you will find lot of > info > on Google. > Search by word " squid authentication ". > > If you are running samba, you can easily integrate > it to have > username & password. > > Regards, > Abdul. > > > -----Original Message----- > From: fatima riadi [mailto:ftmriadi@xxxxxxxx] > Sent: Monday, March 28, 2005 11:52 AM > To: squid-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: [squid-users] Authentication for HTTPS > requests > > > Good morning all, > > Is there any way to require users' authentication > even > if they request https secure web pages. > I noticed that if I request a https page, squid does > not prompt me for a login and a password. > > Thanks a lot > > > > > > > __________________________________________________________________ > Découvrez le nouveau Yahoo!
